The successful candidate will:
  • Maintain efficient levels of stock inventory at our Canadian facilities in support of our distribution.
  • Have hands on experience of developing and deploying proactive inventory management and control - what, how, how much and when to bring in inventory.
  • Establish consistent and accurate inventory control process with BC & ON locations. Manage and issue POs for stock and custom orders
  • Analyze inventory turnover and identify slow and non-moving inventory while maximizing sales margins. Work with different channels on inventory that may become obsolete.
  • Analyze inventory reports / data to provide recommendations on acceptable and accurate inventory levels (e.g. min/max levels, safety stock).
  • Assist in inventory budgeting to generate inventory demand forecasts
  • Work closely with warehouse / operations and monitor inventory data accuracy through regular cycle counts and process audits.
  • Work out the product cost.
  • Other tasks and projects assigned by management Desired Skills and Experience College/University degree in Supply Chain, Operations or similar disciplines Minimum 3-5 experience in inventory control and management Excellent math & excel skills with logical and analytical thinking Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail, ability to perform trend analysis with ease Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing; ability to communicate various level of stakeholders effectively Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision Pro-active approach and initiative; ability to multi task and prioritize Positive attitude; open minded and flexible Proficient with Microsoft Office programs APICS Certificate/CPIM professional designation a definite asset Bi-lingual (English/Mandarin or Cantonese) This position is suited for a highly motivated, mature individual who has hands on experience of inventory control and management, is able to apply common sense and be results driven.
