About ISC Established in 1971, ISC began building custom power cables & assemblies for Gateway, Kingston, and Xerox. With over 50 years of manufacturing experience, ISC is capable of meeting tight deadlines and changing forecasts while maintaining quality. Our products are in use worldwide in commercial and military aircraft, lifesaving medical devices, weapon systems, inflight entertainment, power systems, and countless commercial, industrial & computer applications. Our facility is environmentally controlled, engineered for manufacturing flexibility, includes dedicated assembly labs for isolated program management, and a cleanroom facility. With dedicated professionals and assemblers regularly operating two full shifts, ISC operates with the most current high-speed tooling, material handling, and test equipment. Job Overview The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying and sourcing electronic components and materials at competitive rates while supporting high-volume customer quoting activities. This role works closely with suppliers to obtain pricing and lead-time information, perform cost analysis, negotiate favorable terms, and maintain accurate supplier and material data within the ERP system. The Sourcing Specialist partners closely with quoting, purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure timely quote turnaround, informed sourcing decisions, and continuity of supply in support of customer and business requirements.
What You'll Do:
Customer Quoting & CPQ Support Support and enhance customer quoting activities through the CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) process. Source electronic components and materials to support customer quote requests while meeting customer turnaround expectations. Provide timely pricing, lead-time validation, supplier recommendations, and cost analysis. Research component availability, alternate sources, and pricing to identify the best overall value. Utilize supplier portals, distributor e-stores, and supplier relationships to obtain timely pricing and availability information. Communicate sourcing updates proactively with the Quoting team and escalate supplier requests as needed to meet customer deadlines. Supplier Sourcing, Qualification & Management Develop sourcing strategies andidentifyqualified preferred and alternate suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, delivery, and compliance requirements for Mil-Aero manufacturing. Negotiate favorable pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms while developing strong supplier relationships that improve responsiveness, pricing, and availability. Research and evaluate alternative suppliers to improve material availability, reduce supply risk, and support competitive customer quotations. Cost Analysis & Market Intelligence Analyze supplier pricing, historical cost trends, and price-break opportunities to support accurate cost modeling, estimate pricing when current data is unavailable, and identify material savings. Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements. Identify and support cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing strategies, volume pricing opportunities, and market analysis.
ERP / MRP
System Ownership & Data Management Own and manage supplier and part setup within the ERP system. Create and maintain supplier records, pricing, lead times, preferred vendors, price breaks, and material master data. Maintainaccuratesupplier contracts, pricing agreements, and procurement records. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with the Quoting and Purchasing teams to support customer quote requests and ensure a smooth transition from awarded quotes into procurement. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to validate material requirements and identify sourcing solutions. Contribute to purchasing activities as needed to support business continuity and evolving operational priorities. Performance Monitoring & Strategic Initiatives Monitor sourcing and quoting performance metrics, including: Quote turnaround time Supplier responsiveness Pricing accuracy Cost-saving initiatives Best-value sourcing (cost, availability, and lead time) Support strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier rationalization and supply chain optimization projects
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience 3+ years of sourcing,purchasing, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving electronic components and materials. Experience performing supplier research, cost analysis, pricing negotiations, supplier selection, andidentifyingcost-saving opportunities. Knowledge of procurement and purchase-to-pay processes. Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel and ERP/MRP systems to manage supplier and pricing data. Demonstrated ability to work with urgency while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience in contract manufacturing, Aerospace & Defense, electronics manufacturing, PCBA, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments. Experience sourcing electronic components and electromechanical materials. Experience reading technical drawings, specifications, or Bills of Material (BOMs). Experience withLeanDNA, Rover ERP, or
M3. APICS
CPIM or PMP certification.
Compensation Range:
