Hours:
Full-time, 7:00 am- 4:00 pm (hours may vary) The following is a list of essential duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and in addition, management, as appropriate, may modify this job description.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assigns carriers on all non-temperature-controlled loads. Attracts potential carriers by actively pursuing new transportation companies; develops new business with existing carriers through frequent contact supported by carrier CRM. Understands and follows JTS carrier guidelines for adding or re-activating transportation companies. Seeks and finds carriers for new business, which includes "new lanes" and opportunities. Utilizes all tools necessary within JTS finding carriers, i.e. Load Scope, Transcore, Internet Truck Stop, et Ensures all carriers have contact names, numbers and emails listed in carrier CRM and maintains carrier records as well as customer records. Negotiate carrier rates in a manner that ensures profitability and long-term partnership growth. Assists in daily operations, i.e.; tracing, making pick-up and delivery appointments. Enter loads from customer tenders via phone, email, Web based systems and EDI Communicate proactively with customers and management regarding service failures or problems. Assists in quoting rates and bid new business to customers. Provides training to Logistics Team Provides support as needed by management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is sedentary. It is performed at a desk using the phone and computer. This person must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to use the computer to send and receive information, do research on the internet, and maintain files.
