Full Job Description Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist with sourcing and purchasing steel products (coils, sheets, plates, structural steel) Support verification of costs on sales orders to help maintain target profit margins Coordinate with sales to ensure timely order fulfillment Track deliveries and monitor inventory levels Maintain purchasing records and update supplier information Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and order status Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and monitoring market trends Ensure all purchasing activities follow company policies and safety standards

Qualifications:

Must follow safety procedures and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Basic computer skills required (Excel and ERP systems preferred) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize workload Willingness to learn procurement and negotiation processes Experience in steel, construction materials, or purchasing is a plus

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or related field preferred

Physical Requirements:

Sitting for prolonged periods Walking Occasional lifting or movement of materials as needed
