Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Structural Steel Purchaser to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing structural steel components essential for our construction projects. Your expertise in supply chain management, vendor communication, and procurement systems will ensure timely delivery of quality materials at competitive prices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting large-scale infrastructure developments while working within a collaborative and innovative environment. Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies for structural steel products, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms to optimize costs and quality Collaborate with supply chain teams to coordinate inventory management, materials planning, and demand forecasting using spreadsheets and data analysis tools like Excel Maintain strong vendor relationships through regular communication, performance evaluations, and issue resolution Support purchasing management systems that are technically supported, ensuring seamless integration with procurement workflows Experience Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within the construction or heavy industry sectors, specifically involving structural steel or similar materials Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, Requirements and supply chain processes Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and manage vendor relationships to secure favorable terms Proficiency in using spreadsheets Excellent communication skills for vendor negotiations and internal collaboration across departments Join us to be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to excellence in procurement!
