This role is ideal for a detail-oriented purchasing professional with strong aerospace manufacturing experience, supplier management skills, and the ability to keep materials moving to support production schedules. The Aerospace Buyer will work in a collaborative manufacturing environment alongside Operations, Customer Service, Planning, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Accounting. This is a strong opportunity for a buyer who enjoys technical purchasing, cross-functional problem solving, supplier negotiations, and contributing directly to cost control, quality, and on-time delivery. This position offers the chance to join a team-oriented workplace with supportive leadership, clear operational priorities, and a strong focus on communication, accountability, and production success. Key Responsibilities Source and purchase aerospace components and production materials, including electronic components, PCBA, castings, electromechanical devices, machined parts, and outside processing services. Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, quality requirements, and other purchasing terms. Manage supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality concerns, pricing issues, and supply-chain risks to support production needs. Review technical drawings, blueprints, BOMs, flag notes, and purchasing requirements to ensure accurate supplier communication. Enter, maintain, and track purchase orders within the ERP system while monitoring open orders, lead times, and material shortages. Partner with Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve purchasing, supplier, and material availability issues.
