Job Description Our Purchaser / Planner is critical to ensure the efficiency of our Manufacturing and Production. Management of planning, procuring and sourcing for Production needs is paramount.

Purchaser / Planner

will monitor inventory levels to understand purchasing needs and plan and schedule orders accordingly. Will work closely with suppliers and vendors to review cost proposals and negotiate prices and contracts. Research of suppliers, services, goods, vendors and manufacturers from whom to purchase will be expected. Said research will then be used to find and maintain suppliers who are reliable, cost-efficient and produce quality products. Research for hard-to-find products and components included. Once products are ordered, Purchaser / Planner will follow up on deliveries, maintain inventory counts, and create Purchasing Plans accordingly. This is a full-time position.

Minimum Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Negotiation skills, analytical skills, judgement, and decision-making skills Ability to create Purchasing Plans and Delivery Schedules Ability to evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, availability, and other criteria Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping delays Purchase and schedule finished goods/materials to meet Production and Sales requirements Advise Management of market conditions and supply base activity which could affect quality, delivery, or price Product/Service knowledge of Supply Chain Management Analyze sales history to identify trends which might impact purchasing requirements Knowledge of a Manufacturing environment Must be able to collect, analyze and interpret Manufacturing data in order to make decisions that may impact production, personnel or processes Maintaining and monitoring Inventory information and acting upon that information Create, send, and monitor Purchase Orders after reviewing for accuracy Must be greatly detail oriented and able to perform with a high degree of accuracy Comfortable with hands on involvement and the desire to grow with increasing responsibilities Technically oriented with ability to understand basic manufacturing concepts Comfortable in a fast-paced environment Results driven and self-motivated Ability to prioritize, multi-task and problem solve Strong written and verbal communication skills Positive attitude and highly motivated with sense of urgency Team and Customer oriented

• Microsoft Office skills, especially

Excel Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing/planning role
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Experience in Manufacturing preferred
• Experience in Finance/Accounting preferred
• Experience working closely with Manufacturing and Engineering Departments
• Experience with electromechanical devices, electronic components and PCBs preferred
