Job Summary We are seeking a Purchasing Buyer for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Irvine, CA supporting an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who enjoys supplier sourcing, purchase order management, cost analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced production setting. The Purchasing Buyer will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Operations, Planning, and supplier partners to ensure materials, components, products, and services are purchased at competitive pricing while meeting quality, delivery, and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders, requisitions, supplier quotes, and purchasing documentation. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers based on price, quality, lead time, reliability, service, and capacity. Monitor open purchase orders, supplier commitments, delivery schedules, pricing records, and purchasing data for accuracy. Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and suppliers to resolve shortages, nonconforming materials, delivery issues, and changing requirements. Support supplier performance management, cost-reduction initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and purchasing compliance requirements. Maintain records needed for quality, traceability, audits, supplier agreements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Compensation and Benefits Salary range:
$67,000 to $76,800 per year.
