Full-time Description Our Mill Valley store is currently looking to hire a Full Time Beer Buyer. At Good Earth, we are proud to offer a wide variety of craft beers, with an emphasis on locally produced and organic beers. We are seeking a full time beer buyer with a strong customer service background who loves sharing their knowledge of beer. Our ideal candidate has extensive beer knowledge, previous retail buying experience, and a desire to learn more about organic standards and practices. This is a physical job and requires the ability to lift beer and wine cases throughout the day. Because wine and cheese are also part of our Specialty department, basic knowledge in these areas is preferred. Responsibilities Responsible for buying of all Beer for the department, as well as related products Receiving, organizing and stocking beer, and sometimes wine Providing customer service in wine & beer Supporting Specialty Cheese as needed Developing product knowledge Cleaning Qualifications Extensive knowledge of beer preferred At least one year beer purchasing experience Strong customer service experience Love of helping people and ability to positively contribute to a team Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently; up to 50 lbs occasionally Ability to be on feet all day, engage in regular moderate lifting frequently, ability to handle a knife and do fine manipulation with hands Fluency in English Benefits For our Full-Time Employees, we offer:Profit Share Bonuses Medical, dental and vision plans Paid Vacation and Sick Time 30% storewide discount, 50% discount on made to order Takeout food and drink 401k benefit with employer match
