Job Description Job Description & Skill Requirement:
  • Manage the procurement of direct materials and components by reviewing requirements, analyzing MRP outputs, and placing, rescheduling, or canceling purchase orders to support production needs.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to manage pricing, delivery schedules, quality expectations, and material availability while escalating issues as needed to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Monitor inventory levels, shortages, excess inventory, and potential obsolescence risks, implementing corrective actions to optimize inventory performance and support customer demand.
  • Analyze procurement and supplier performance metrics, maintain accurate purchasing records, conduct supplier reviews, and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, planning, logistics, and warehouse teams to resolve material discrepancies, track shipments, support invoice reconciliation, and ensure on-time delivery of components. The Experience We're Looking to Add to the Team
  • Strong procurement, supplier management, negotiation, and inventory control skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 to 4 years of procurement, purchasing, materials management, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems for purchasing, planning, and inventory management activities.
  • Ability to analyze procurement data, inventory trends, supplier performance metrics, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, high-volume manufacturing, or a similar production environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices, inventory optimization, and procurement processes.
