Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and strategic Dealership Parts Director to lead our automotive parts department with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of parts operations, ensuring seamless supply chain management, optimal inventory control, and exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive efficiency in parts sourcing, procurement, and distribution while fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the success of our dealership's parts division through proactive management, innovative sourcing strategies, and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Lead and manage the entire parts department, including inventory management, procurement, pricing strategies, and parts administration to maximize profitability and operational efficiency Oversee supply chain processes from parts sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely availability of automotive parts and accessories for service and sales departments Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) suppliers and other vendors to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and sourcing options Utilize advanced inventory management systems and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platforms to monitor stock levels, demand planning, order management, and shipping & receiving activities Implement effective warehouse management practices including forklift operation oversight, logistics inventory management, and shipping & receiving procedures Coordinate with automotive service teams to ensure parts availability aligns with repair schedules and customer needs Analyze data related to demand planning, pricing trends, and inventory control to optimize procurement strategies and reduce excess stock or shortages Lead internal communication efforts across departments to streamline processes related to parts sourcing, order processing, and customer service Ensure compliance with safety standards such as HVAC regulations where applicable in warehouse environments Drive continuous improvement initiatives in parts sourcing, procurement management, and logistics operations to enhance overall dealership performance Skills Extensive experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry or manufacturing sectors Proven supplier management experience with a strong negotiation skill set for sourcing parts at competitive prices Deep knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM specifications, and automotive parts & accessories Proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP platforms, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and order management systems Strong understanding of warehouse operations including forklift certification and logistics inventory management practices Familiarity with automotive service procedures such as auto body repair and auto parts installation processes Excellent data entry skills coupled with analytical abilities for demand planning and pricing optimization Effective internal communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration in a dealership environment Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems enhances decision-making in parts sourcing and troubleshooting Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering timely solutions for internal teams and external clients Join us as our Dealership Parts Director to lead a dynamic team dedicated to operational excellence! Pay:
