Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Purchasing department by managing the full procurement lifecycle: sourcing, RFQs, PO issuance, and payment reconciliation. This position requires a strong understanding of logistical concepts and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with overseas headquarters to maintain and develop new relations with vendors. Work with production team to monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without over-purchasing. Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and lead times. Coordinate multi-modal shipments (Ocean, Truckloads, and Air), inbound and outbound. Act as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders. Prepare and review essential shipping documentation for imports and exports (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading). Ensure compliance with Incoterms 2020 and international trade regulations. Oversee customs clearance processes and resolve any brokerage delays. Track shipments in real-time and provide proactive status updates to internal teams. Audit freight and vendor invoices for accuracy and manage claims for damaged or lost goods.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience:
0-1+ years in procurement, logistics, or supply chain.
Knowledge:
Entry to moderate level of understanding to Incoterms, Harmonized System (HS) codes, and customs regulations.
Tech Savvy:
Experience with ERP systems, primarily SAP, and advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
Communication:
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to communicate across different time zones and cultures.
