Job Description

Sourcing Specialist An established outdoor apparel firm in Petaluma, CA has an immediate opening for a Sourcing Specialist for a 6-month contract. You will oversee finished goods procurement and vendor partnerships, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, onboard, and manage international vendors to meet quality, cost, and compliance guidelines. Act as sourcing lead on new product development projects from initial concept through production handoff. Assess fabric/material feasibility, lead times, and factory capabilities. Drive cost negotiations to hit target FOB/landed metrics; perform line costing analysis to identify savings. Track supplier KPIs (on-time delivery, quality ratings, factory capacity). Partner with Planning, Design, Merchandising, Quality, and Logistics to resolve vendor issues. Manage sample workflows, approval timelines, and seasonal calendar tracking.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of apparel sourcing, procurement, or vendor management experience. Proven track record managing global finished goods supply chains and negotiating costs. Strong organizational skills; comfortable working cross-functionally. Outdoor/technical apparel background preferred. Experience with PLM/ERP systems (Centric, FlexPLM, SAP, Oracle) and Excel. Must be authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship available).
