Job Description
Position Summary for
Buyer:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and sourcing strategies. This position helps ensure materials and services are available on time while maintaining competitive pricing and quality standards. Main Responsibilities Source and purchase materials, products, and services. Research and evaluate new and existing suppliers. Request and compare vendor quotes. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Monitor purchase orders and follow up on delays or shortages. Track inventory and help prevent supply interruptions. Review supplier quality, delivery, and overall performance. Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities. Support purchasing needs for new products and engineering changes. Maintain accurate purchasing information in ERP and other systems. Work with Production, Quality, Accounting, Engineering, and other teams to resolve issues. Assist with supplier development and supply chain improvement projects. Prepare updates on open orders, upcoming purchases, and supplier activity. Participate in meetings and projects related to purchasing and supply chain operations. Qualifications for Buyer 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience. Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred. Manufacturing or production experience preferred. Experience working with suppliers and negotiating pricing and contracts. Knowledge of materials such as machined parts, castings, forgings, or fabricated metals is a plus. Experience using ERP systems. Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Comfortable working with cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel to vendor locations when needed.Pay:
