This position plays a vital role in supporting project success by managing purchasing activities, inventory control, preparing accurate construction estimates, coordinating project deliveries, and providing administrative support across multiple departments. The ideal candidate has experience in construction estimating, purchasing, inventory management, vendor coordination, and project administration. This individual must be able to read construction plans, analyze project specifications, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, and ensure projects move efficiently from estimating through completion while maintaining accuracy, quality, and customer satisfaction. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Estimating & Project Support Read and interpret architectural and structural plans, specifications, and related construction documents. Prepare accurate project estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and supporting documentation. Analyze labor, material, equipment, and time requirements to determine project costs. Maintain and update estimating databases and back up project information. Prepare scopes of work prior to project handoff to the Project Manager. Prepare special reports and communicate project information to Account Managers. Evaluate customer-requested changes and prepare change orders that modify the original estimate. Document written customer requests and maintain accurate project records. Identify and resolve issues that may affect project cost, schedule, or quality. Ensure punch list items are completed. Stay current with construction methods, materials, and industry standards through ongoing education. Purchasing, Inventory & Vendor Coordination Manage the complete purchasing process from purchase order creation through order fulfillment. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and services. Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, inventory levels, and vendor performance to maintain project schedules. Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records within company systems. Resolve purchasing and inventory discrepancies while communicating updates to internal departments. Identify opportunities to reduce costs, minimize waste, and improve inventory efficiency. Delivery Coordination Coordinate project deliveries from scheduling through successful completion. Track deliveries and maintain communication to ensure customer satisfaction. Administrative & Operational Support Assist with collecting and maintaining operational data to support Sales, Estimating, Design, and Field Operations. Schedule in-person and virtual meetings between departments and project stakeholders. Maintain organized electronic and physical project files. Prepare reports, summaries, and project documentation as needed. Assist with additional administrative and operational tasks to support business objectives. Compliance & Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, purchasing procedures, and inventory management. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to overall team success. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, purchasing, inventory management, project coordination, administrative support, or a related field. Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings and construction specifications. Experience with BuilderTrend estimating software Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory control, vendor management, and material procurement. Strong understanding of construction terminology and project workflows. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
Pay:
$64,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
