New London, CT Pay:
$20.00-$43.00/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, full-time (in-office)

Temp-to-Hire Position Overview Our client is seeking an entry-level Buyer/Purchasing Coordinator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 0-3 years of experience who enjoys working with data, Excel, and purchasing processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain. Responsibilities Analyze sales, inventory, and purchasing data to support buying decisions. Create and maintain purchase orders based on inventory needs and demand forecasts. Communicate with vendors regarding order status, lead times, shipments, and delivery schedules. Assist with new product setup and the phase-out of discontinued items. Support the buying team with product research, pricing updates, and vendor documentation. Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure data integrity. Utilize Excel to organize, analyze, and report on purchasing information. Assist with additional projects and administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications 0-3 years of experience in purchasing, buying, inventory, merchandising, business analysis, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas. SQL knowledge is a plus but not required. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
