National Graphics Inc. is experiencing substantial growth. We are hiring a high-performing individual for the purchasing team in our North Branford, CT headquarters. We are looking for someone with at least five years of experience. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work hand in hand with senior leadership to advance the purchasing function. Working directly with high-level leaders, you will be developing purchasing strategies, working with suppliers to negotiate contracts and purchase products and services for the company. Responsibilities and Duties Overall supplier relationship management with an eye towards cost containment and quality. Negotiate supplier contracts and make final purchases. Develop purchasing strategies and execute identify buying trends to keep National Graphics profitable. Monitor stock levels and manage inventory. Evaluate products for optimization of quality, price and delivery. Identify and resolve product discrepancies including but not limited to under orders, over orders, damaged/defective goods and pricing. Maintain detailed records and reports. Conduct market research on products and services. Additional projects as needed. Qualifications and Skills Required Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to evaluate market conditions. Strong relationship management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to make quick and thoughtful decisions on behalf of the business. Preferred Bachelor's Degree or relevant professional experience. Experience in manufacturing industry a plus. Experience in logistics or warehouse management a plus.
