Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Buyer for an onsite direct-hire opportunity in Prospect, Connecticut. This position supports a manufacturing operation through purchasing, production scheduling, inventory optimization, material coordination, supplier management, and the use of ERP/MRP systems to keep materials and production aligned with customer demand.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Buyer coordinates material requirements, capacity, purchasing, and production scheduling while optimizing inventory levels. The position works closely with suppliers, distributors, production, procurement, and logistics to prevent material shortages, maintain production continuity, and support on-time delivery. This is a hands-on individual-contributor position with broad ownership of purchasing and scheduling for the production floor. The role requires practical manufacturing purchasing experience, strong ERP/MRP capabilities, inventory and material-planning skills, and the ability to independently manage supplier and production requirements.
COMPENSATION
Salary:
$55,000-$65,000 Per Year Eligible For Bonus Programs Bonus Payouts Expected In February / March 2027 Limited Relocation Assistance

Develop Weekly And Monthly Production Plans And Schedules Align Manufacturing Activities With Sales Forecasts And Customer Demand Coordinate Material Availability With Production Requirements Monitor Production Progress And Adjust Schedules For Changing Conditions Respond To Maintenance, Machine Downtime, Material Shortages And Changes In Demand
