Job Description
Adecco is assisting a client in
- Newark, DE

- to join a growing team in an exciting, technology‑driven environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Manage daily purchasing activities for raw materials to support production requirements + Review and validate MRP requirements to ensure demand accuracy and timely purchase order placement + Analyze material demand, supply signals, and inventory levels to identify shortages and supply risks + Develop and execute mitigation plans for material shortages in collaboration with commodity managers and planning teams + Expedite supplier deliveries and follow up on open purchase orders + Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory + Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, delivery schedules, shortages, and recovery plans + Support supplier performance improvement and escalation management + Maintain accurate purchasing data and updates within ERP/MRP systems + Support product transitions, supplier changes, and phase‑in/phase‑out activities + Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure uninterrupted material flow to production •Qualifications & Experience•+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field (preferred) + 2+ years of Buyer or Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred) + Strong understanding of procurement processes, MRP systems, and supply planning + Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar + Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills + Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications •Preferred Qualifications•+ Experience interpreting and working with manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs) + Knowledge of production planning and inventory control processes + APICS/CPIM certification a plus •
