Job Description
Your Mission This position is responsible for all activities involving the procurement and order management of specified direct materials and all indirect materials (MRO) maintenance, repair and office supplies. How you will make a difference With Strategic Purchasing, develop and maintain purchasing and material master parameters for assigned commodities. Extract and analyze purchase and usage data in MRP system to support decision-making activities. Monitor inventory levels for assigned commodities, incorporating the latest information on usage and replenishment times Execute and monitor purchases on a timely basis for assigned commodities to support on-going production efforts. Proactively manage material deliveries as required to support production and customer needs. Maintain and monitor supplier metrics to monitor delivery and quality performance. Monitor and ensure compliance with proper SAP transactional discipline for the purchasing functions. Maintain SAP Source List, Information Records and Material Master Settings for all assigned commodities. Resolve invoice issues timely. Coordinate "Return to Supplier" defective or early receipt material. Assist the Receiving Department with missing or incomplete supplier paperwork. What you should be good at Must have at least 2-3 Years expierence in tactical and strategic procurement within a multi-location organization. Associate's degree in Supply Chain, or equivalent degree relateded to procurement, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong knowledge of ERP software (specifically SAP) and Excel. Supply Chain Acumen - Overseas the development and execution of strategies for assigned commodities, drives utilization of tools to achieve optimal results in the areas of Quality, Delivery, Total Cost and Service. Project Management - Balances projects between short and long-term focus, secures alignment between cross functional teams. Global Business Strategy - Demonstrates deep global knowledge of suppliers, industry tread, emerging markets and technology. Problem solving - Identifies/anticipates potential problems, supports root cause analysis, evaluates corrective actions, oversees plan implementation and drives positive results. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short corssepondence , and memos. Ability to write short correspondence. Ability to effectively present informaton in one-on-one and small group situres to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to perform these operations using American and standard units of measure or currency, as well as converting between the two. What you can look forward to
