SUMMARY:

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and outside processes along with managing vendors. This position will manage the on-time procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies to support manufacturing operations. This position works closely with Manufacturing, Design, and Finance on a daily basis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, accounting, logistics or business administration. 3 years demonstrated working experience in a fast-paced environment. Perform material take-offs utilizing BOM & drawing packages Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Manufacturing and Construction experience a plus. Strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience working with MRP/ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite .

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Clear/concise grammar along with excellent negotiating skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percent, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables applying common sense practices. Ability to read & follow drawings/blueprints. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
