Full Job Description Role Overview:

As a Principal Specialist

•Buyer , you will manage purchasing activities for an assigned commodity, including supplier selection, RFQ/RFP activities, quotation analysis, negotiations, purchase order creation, and delivery tracking. You will work closely with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and suppliers to ensure procurement activities support program schedules and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Purchase Orders from supplier selection through closeout. Prepare and submit compliant RFQs and analyze supplier quotations. Perform price analysis and negotiate fair pricing with suppliers. Monitor open orders and supplier delivery commitments. Communicate delivery changes and escalate issues when necessary. Identify and develop new sources of supply when required. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Support procurement activities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Participate in supplier/program reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage multiple procurement activities and priorities simultaneously.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years of prior buying/purchasing experience. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively with internal teams and suppliers. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel/Word . Advanced Excel skills for managing large datasets and requisition lines. Experience with supply chain processes and procurement KPIs. Knowledge of Supplier On-Time Delivery, cost savings, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to develop risk mitigation plans. Aerospace, manufacturing, or other regulated-industry experience is a plus. Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% if required.

Pay:

$30.00

•$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
