Commitment to the welfare and success of our employees Growth opportunities On-the-job training Paid time off Competitive wages and benefits Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Buyer to support daily purchasing activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including tooling, shop supplies, raw materials, outside services, components, and other production-related requirements. The Junior Buyer will work closely with the Procurement Manager, production teams, vendors, and other internal departments to ensure materials and supplies are ordered accurately, delivered on time, and available to support manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, inventory, or administrative experience who wants to continue developing a career in procurement. Key Responsibilities Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in the ERP system. Purchase tooling, shop supplies, consumables, raw materials, components, and other production-related items. Request and compare vendor quotes for pricing, availability, and lead time. Confirm purchase orders and maintain accurate pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and vendor information. Follow up with suppliers on open purchase orders, late deliveries, backorders, and other order issues. Communicate delivery updates and potential shortages to internal stakeholders. Expedite critical materials and supplies when required to support production. Assist with sourcing new vendors and obtaining competitive quotations. Maintain positive working relationships with existing suppliers. Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies involving pricing, quantities, shipments, invoices, or damaged material. Review purchasing history and previous orders when researching requirements or sourcing repeat purchases. Support purchasing activities for outside processing and other manufacturing services. Assist with raw material purchasing and material availability requirements. Coordinate with Production, Receiving, Quality, Finance, and other departments as needed. Help maintain vendor, purchasing, and item information within the ERP system. Process replenishment program requirements. Assist with procurement reporting, spreadsheets, purchasing data, and supplier performance tracking. Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved lead times, order consolidation, and purchasing efficiencies. Maintain organized purchasing documentation and supplier correspondence. Perform additional procurement and supply chain duties as assigned. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, inventory, customer service, or a related business function preferred. Manufacturing experience is preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable managing multiple purchase orders, priorities, vendors, and deadlines simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow up persistently and professionally with suppliers. Basic understanding of pricing, quotations, lead times, and purchase orders. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with an ERP/MRP system such as NetSuite is a plus. Ability to research information, solve problems, and work independently while knowing when to escalate an issue. Willingness to learn additional purchasing categories and progressively take on greater responsibility.

Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 48.0 per week
