Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms that maximize value while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Coordinate with supply chain teams to optimize logistics, inventory control, and materials management across multiple projects. Analyze Excel data and spreadsheets to forecast needs, monitor supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Support sourcing initiatives by evaluating supplier options through direct negotiation procurement methods and conducting vendor evaluations. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, purchase orders, and vendor communications using accounting software and inventory management tools. Skills Proficiency in SAP ERP systems, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400 for materials management and procurement processes. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including logistics, inventory control, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and sourcing strategies. Excellent vendor communication skills with experience in vendor negotiation and relationship management. Skilled in using spreadsheets (Excel) for data analysis, pricing comparisons, and procurement reporting. Knowledge of purchasing management systems (technically supported) to streamline procurement workflows. Ability to coordinate logistics efficiently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
