Role:
The Purchasing & Procurement Specialist is responsible for purchasing materials, components, and/or services required to support business operations while ensuring competitive pricing, supplier performance, quality, and on-time delivery. This role will actively manage purchase orders, supplier relationships, negotiations, and cost-reduction opportunities, with a strong focus on Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and overall procurement performance. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of purchasing or procurement experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance. What You'll Do at
Justrite:
  • Manage the day-to-day procurement of assigned materials, components, products, and/or services.
  • Issue and maintain purchase orders while ensuring pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and contractual terms are accurate.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, minimum order quantities, freight terms, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
  • Monitor and manage Purchase Price Variance (PPV), identifying cost increases, savings opportunities, and root causes of unfavorable variances.
  • Develop and cost-reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations, competitive bidding, value analysis, sourcing alternatives, and other procurement strategies.
  • Obtain and analyze supplier quotations and conduct price comparisons to support sourcing decisions.
  • Support supplier selection, qualification, and ongoing supplier performance management.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships while addressing delivery, pricing, quality, and service issues.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and proactively resolve shortages, late deliveries, and supply disruptions.
  • Partner with Planning and Operations teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and support production or customer requirements.
  • Analyze purchasing data, spend, market conditions, and supplier performance to identify sourcing and savings opportunities.
  • Participate in RFQ/RFP activities and support competitive sourcing events.
  • Work with Finance to resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and purchase order variances.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and other departments on supplier changes, new products, cost improvement projects, and material requirements.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes, supplier performance, working capital, and cost reduction.
