Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is looking for an IT Procurement Technician that will be supporting the full lifecycle of IT hardware within the organization managed services environment. This role is going to be responsible for receiving, configuring, staging, deploying, and tracking IT equipment for internal teams and client environments.

This position is highly operational and hands-on, with a focus on hardware deployment, asset management, and fulfillment activities. It will be a fast-paced, ticket-driven environment and they will be responsible for maintaining accuracy, organization, and timely execution across high-volume equipment requests.
  • Receive, inventory, tag, and track IT hardware and related equipment
  • Configure, image, and pre-stage laptops, desktops, and peripherals prior to deployment
  • Support hardware deployments, refreshes, and rollouts for internal teams and client environments
  • Validate hardware specifications and ensure equipment is staged according to requirements (RAM, storage, operating systems, peripherals)
  • Manage and document work through ticketing and workflow systems, ensuring timely and accurate updates
  • Track assets using inventory systems, ticketing platforms, and supporting documentation
  • Support high-volume hardware requests and deployments while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Coordinate shipping, delivery, and receipt confirmation of IT equipment
  • Communicate deployment status and asset updates with internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Operations, Production, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on hardware needs and timelines
  • Assist with basic vendor coordination, order tracking, or procurement-related activities, as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve hardware deployment, asset tracking, and fulfillment processes
  • Support basic reporting on inventory levels, asset deployment, and operational metrics
  • Perform basic preparation and configuration of hardware. Skills and Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of device deployment, staging, or asset lifecycle experience
  • Has personally imaged Windows laptops or desktops
  • Has worked from tickets or work orders
  • Comfortable handling physical equipment all day
  • Can explain an asset from receipt through deployment
  • Strong Excel and documentation habits
  • ConnectWise experience
  • MSP, healthcare IT, VAR, reseller, or multi-client experience (Ideally MSP / Healthcare IT)
