MRO Buyer Location 1251 Colquitt Highway, Bainbridge, GA, 39817-7574, United States Base Pay $51,370.00 - $70,634.00 / Year Relocation Expense Covered No Employee Type Full-Time Contact information Name LaTashia Griffin Phone 678-635-4267 Email lgriffin@jbssinc Description The MRO Buyer is responsible for procuring maintenance supplies, machinery parts, fabrication supplies, and tools required to support the maintenance and engineering department. This role ensures timely availability of materials while maintaining cost-effective purchasing practices and inventory control. Functions of the
Position:
Purchases parts and supplies from the most appropriate and cost-effective vendors. Follows purchasing requests through topletion to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Sources requiredponents to support on-time delivery and minimize operational delays. Ensurespliance with all purchasing procedures, documentation, and record-keeping requirements. Maintains inventory levels to ensure all necessary supplies are stocked at acceptable levels. Integrates parts inventory within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Obtains multiple quotes for non-standard equipment purchases to support cost control. Performs other duties as assigned to support maintenance and engineering operations.
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
Three or more years of maintenance and purchasing experience. Food industry experience, particularly with processing and packaging equipment, preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficientputer skills to support purchasing, inventory, and system requirements. Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Strongmunication skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and vendors. Detail-oriented with strong math skills. The starting salary range for this position is $51,370-$70,634. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for performance-based incentives subject to the terms of the underlying plan.
