Partners with business stakeholders to support operational needs while ensuring alignment to enterprise procurement strategies and standards. Target categories include but not limited to corporate services and supplies, travel, facilities, utilities, MRO/ consumables, R&M, vehicle leases.
Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end category management for assigned indirect spend, including strategy development, sourcing calendar, contracting, and supplier performance Execute sourcing initiatives and negotiations to deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and improved commercial terms Build and manage supplier relationships, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement Partner with operations, branch, and functional leaders to understand business needs and ensure effective execution of sourcing strategies Support implementation of centralized procurement strategies, driving adoption and compliance across decentralized locations Analyze spend data within assigned categories to identify savings opportunities and support sourcing prioritization Lead RFx processes, contract negotiations, and supplier selection for key indirect categories Monitor contract compliance and supplier performance, addressing gaps and driving corrective actions Support procurement governance, policies, and processes to improve visibility, control, and consistency Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancements and procurement tool adoption
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in indirect procurement and category management Strong sourcing, negotiation, and contract management skills Experience managing suppliers and driving performance outcomes Ability to analyze spend data and identify savings opportunities Experience supporting procurement in multi-site or decentralized environments Familiarity with procurement tools (e.g., eProcurement, spend analytics, CLM) Solid understanding of procurement processes, policies, and governance 7 years of procurement experience in Indirect categories with similar financial scope and complexity Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Engineering or related field Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence without authority Effective communication and collaboration across functions and locations Results-oriented with a focus on execution and accountability Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a fast-paced environment Travel up to 15% of the time Specialty Building Products is the leading distributor of specialty building products in North America.
