About the Role As a Procurement Specialist, you will drive operational efficiency by managing material flow and optimizing supply chain performance to meet production demands. You will play a pivotal role in balancing inventory levels, fostering strong supplier relationships, and implementing cost-saving initiatives that directly impact the bottom line. Responsibilities Execute procurement strategies to ensure material availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels through Kanban and VMI programs. Analyze engineering and production schedules to proactively manage material requirements and resolve supply chain variances. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality assurance, to address non-conformances and improve incoming material quality. Drive continuous improvement by leading process optimization projects and participating in Kaizen events to streamline procurement workflows. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through scorecards and audits, ensuring high standards for on-time delivery and quality. Manage purchase orders, ECO impacts, and system data integrity within ERP platforms to ensure accurate financial and operational reporting. Reconcile procurement-related discrepancies in receiving and accounts payable to maintain seamless financial operations. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. 1-3 years of professional experience in procurement or materials management. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle for data management and reporting. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret bills of materials and lead-time data. Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-focused environment. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols, including the use of protective footwear in manufacturing areas. Preferred Skills Professional certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPSM). Experience with Concur or similar expense management software. Proven track record in driving cost-reduction projects and supplier negotiations.
