Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer - Staff to join our procurement team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services essential to our operations. Your expertise in supply chain management system, will ensure seamless procurement processes. You will collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams to optimize inventory levels, manage contracts, and support overall supply chain efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where strategic sourcing and vendor relationship management are key to success. Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end purchasing process to ensure timely procurement of goods and services. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and contract management. Analyze inventory levels using spreadsheets and Excel data analysis tools to optimize stock control and reduce excess inventory. Support materials management activities including inventory control, supply chain coordination, and procurement planning. Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and provide sourcing solutions aligned with business objectives. Conduct direct negotiations with vendors to secure favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery delays, or pricing discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor communications within accounting software and purchasing management systems. Experience Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within a manufacturing or logistics environment. Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, supply chain processes, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning). Demonstrated ability in vendor negotiation, sourcing strategies, and vendor relationship management. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) for data analysis and reporting purposes. Knowledge of purchasing management systems that are technically supported within the organization. Experience working with contracts related to procurement activities and supply agreements. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Pay:
$73,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
