Job Description

Sourcing SpecialistJob Summary The Sourcing Specialist identifies, evaluates, and develops suppliers to support the company's operational, quality, cost, and delivery objectives. This position manages sourcing activities, supplier relationships, negotiations, and purchasing strategies to ensure materials and services are obtained at the best overall value. The Sourcing Specialist works closely with Purchasing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve supplier performance, and minimize supply-chain risk. Key Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers based on cost, quality, capabilities, lead times, and reliability. Develop and execute sourcing strategies for materials, components, equipment, and services. Request and analyze supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial terms. Maintain strong supplier relationships and address issues related to quality, delivery, pricing, and availability. Monitor supplier performance and support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify cost-reduction opportunities through competitive bidding, supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, and negotiations. Partner with Purchasing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Planning to support material requirements and business needs. Identify potential supply-chain risks and develop alternative or backup sourcing solutions. Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, sourcing, and purchasing information within the ERP system. Support contract review, supplier agreements, and vendor documentation as required. Analyze purchasing and supplier data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Perform other sourcing and procurement-related duties as assigned. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement, or supply-chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong supplier sourcing and negotiation skills. Experience evaluating quotations, pricing, lead times, and supplier capabilities. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working collaboratively with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. Preferred Qualifications Experience sourcing raw materials, components, equipment, or services within a manufacturing environment. Experience with supplier performance management and cost-reduction initiatives. Familiarity with inventory planning, material requirements, and manufacturing operations. Experience developing alternate suppliers and reducing single-source supply risk.
Pay:
From $65,000.00 per year
