The primary responsibilities of this job are to source and procure materials, supplies, and services to ensure availability at the right quantity, quality, and at the most competitive terms and conditions possible. Also responsible for analyzing information and reports, including historical demand, specific requests, and customer orders to create and release purchase orders for materials and services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following: Execute purchasing directives including sourcing, purchase order entry, and vendor monitoring. Work on a team as one of two Buyers and a purchasing manager to ensure all purchasing requirements and initiatives are met. Maintain records of products ordered, received and sold Source and communicate with vendors and suppliers on pricing, availability, terms of sale. Monitor stocking programs both in house as well as at our largest vendor's facilities. Analyze and report on product data to determine areas of opportunity and level of demand. Communicate with logistics companies and coordinate inbound shipments. Collect product requisitions from Sales, Engineering, and manufacturing team and prepare purchases orders to vendors. Manage purchase order confirmations and expedite deliveries. Update in-house software on delivery dates / pricing / etc. Help with inventory management. Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred, plus 5 years of related experience in buying, souring and procurement in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of manufacturing operations and business functions. Experience with Microsoft suite of products and Epicor EPR. The ability to occasionally lift and/or mover up to 50 pounds.BENEFITS
