AmeriQual Group is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to procure and manage the raw materials and packaging needed to support scheduled production. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Procurement Manager and primarily works first-shift hours in an onsite capacity. What You'll Do Manage Purchasing and Order Execution Create, review, expedite, track, and maintain purchase orders through closure. Communicate shortages and provide visibility into potential supply interruptions. Coordinate freight for purchase orders as needed. Support Inventory and Supply Continuity Use the ERP system to place orders, monitor activity, and generate purchasing reports. Maintain appropriate inventory levels by researching aged and excess materials. Serve as a liaison among customers, suppliers, and internal departments to support purchasing activities and resolve supply-related issues. Interact professionally with customers regarding purchasing activities. Identify and implement opportunities to improve purchasing, inventory, and supply-chain efficiency. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Purchasing experience preferred, particularly in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MS Office and experience using an ERP system (SAGE experience preferred) Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, data-analysis, and documentation skills. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and effective organizational skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Physical Requirements This position primarily operates in an office environment but may involve exposure to manufacturing plant conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; communicate in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits, and other allergens are present.
