Job Description
Job Summary :
Purchasing Specialist will negotiate with vendors for the purchase of all materials, supplies, equipment and services used by Diversity-Vuteq by performing the following duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements
- Establishes Purchasing Policies and ensure compliance
- Acquiring materials and parts as needed to maintain production (pilot) schedules and avoid delays
- Studying sales records and inventory levels
- Establishes account/credit and terms
- Negotiates blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors cost during the time period.
- Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
- Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers
- Works closely with Logistics Department to ensure proper materials and supplies arrived
- Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders
- Perform cycle counts to confirm actual inventory conditions
- Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
- Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws
- Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
- Actively engages in kaizen activity to reduce waste and costs
- Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Invoices non TMMI customers.
- Creator and maintainer of all NAFTA, COA, etc. regulation documents,

Job Qualifications:
Education Bachelor Degree in a business related area preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Negotiating skills
- Prefer 2+ years of purchasing experience
- Previous automotive experience is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
- Solid decision making skills
