Buyer Link-Belt Cranes - 3.3 Lexington, KY Job Details 15 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Link-Belt Cranes is a global leader in the design, manufacture and sales of mobile cranes. Founded over 150 years ago, with corporate headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, join an organization that understands its greatest resource is people and they are what makes the difference. Currently we have a Buyer role open on 1st shift. As a Buyer, one will evaluate Link-Belt production material requirements and place purchase orders with approved suppliers to fulfill requirements. Conduct procurement process to assure material arrives on time to support manufacturing. Essential functions of the position include: Generate purchase orders from material requirements planning (MRP) or other demand. Balance purchase orders with inventory conditions and demand requirements at all times to minimize inventory investment. Monitor open purchase orders to meet changing schedule requirements (cancel, defer, expedite, etc) Work with receiving department to resolve quantity, purchase order, or part number discrepancies Work with others to gather requested data, e.g. certifications, tracking information, etc. as required Communicate with suppliers to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery Maintain procurement records, such as item or service purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories May expedite delivery of goods to users Other duties and projects as assigned General qualifications for this role: High School or GED. College degree preferred Minimum of two (2) years related experience in scheduling and or purchasing
