POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement Representative (PR) - is an individual selected to identify suppliers, research goods and services, process purchase orders and verify delivery items. The PR should be able to critically assess suppliers, products and services and negotiate the best possible deals. The Procurement Representative should maintain a keen sense of business and meticulous transaction records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess and organize purchasing of materials needed for operations Coordinate with Director of Procurement to compare suppliers, goods and services to ensure best pricing on all materials Request cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices. Create purchase orders to company standards File all purchase orders to proper destination on the server if required Get approval on purchase orders where needed Evaluate and coordinate with warehouse manager on inventory items before outsourcing or purchasing Maintain proper inventory levels to avoid over purchasing per max and mins Manage and control arrival of job materials in accordance with job due dates Strategically buy materials to maintain cash flow Coordinate with Facility and Production manager on necessary materials needed on jobs Control and get approval on all shortages needed Get approval on any assets or repairs requiring purchase orders
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Prefer four-year degree from accredited university; however, job work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. High School diploma is mandatory. Minimum five years' experience in a relevant domain. Excellent communications skills in English/Spanish (if applicable). Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls. Previous experience as a Purchasing Agent or similar position. Proficient Computer skills. Valid U.S. driver's license.

40.0 - 55.0 per week
