Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Buyer to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory to ensure the seamless flow of goods and materials across our supply chain. Your expertise in vendor communication, negotiation, and ERP systems will drive cost efficiencies and strengthen supplier relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives while supporting operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies aligned with company goals. Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400 to process purchase orders, track inventory levels, and manage procurement data efficiently. Conduct direct negotiations with vendors to secure favorable pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Analyze Excel data and spreadsheets to evaluate supplier performance, pricing trends, and inventory metrics for informed decision-making. Manage inventory control processes by monitoring stock levels, coordinating logistics, and implementing effective supply chain management practices. Support purchasing management systems that are technically supported by internal teams to streamline procurement workflows. Assist in sourcing activities by evaluating supplier options, conducting market research, and identifying new vendors to optimize supply chain operations. Qualifications Proven experience working with ERP systems. Strong understanding of materials management, inventory management, and logistics within a supply chain environment. Demonstrated ability in purchasing management systems supported by technical teams. Excellent vendor communication skills with a focus on vendor relationship management and negotiation strategies. Proficiency in Excel data analysis, spreadsheets, and accounting software to support procurement activities. Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning), sourcing techniques, and direct negotiation procurement processes. Familiarity with supply chain concepts including inventory control, logistics coordination, pricing strategies, and merchandising practices.
