Job Description
Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities and ensure the timely acquisition of materials, supplies, and services. This role is responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, monitoring inventory levels, negotiating pricing, and helping maintain efficient supply chain operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, process, and track purchase orders from requisition through delivery.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met.
Obtain and compare quotes to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of materials and supplies.
Resolve issues related to late shipments, order discrepancies, and invoice variances.
Collaborate with operations, production, accounting, and warehouse teams to support business needs.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor information, and procurement documentation.
Review and reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
Assist with contract management and vendor performance evaluations.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
