Novi, MI Confidential Opportunity A leading global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Buyer, Castings to join its procurement team. This role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost reduction initiatives, contract negotiations, and supporting new product launches for casting commodities. This is a high-impact position offering visibility across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain functions. Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies for castings and related commodities. Lead RFQ/RFI activities, supplier selection, and contract negotiations. Analyze supplier quotes using total cost of ownership principles. Drive cost reduction, VA/VE, benchmarking, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage supplier performance related to quality, delivery, cost, and service. Support new product launches and supplier readiness activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity and project success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of sourcing, purchasing, or procurement experience in manufacturing. Experience with castings, metal components, or industrial commodities preferred. Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills. Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Professional supply chain certifications (CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
