Flooring Avenue is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that the products required to fulfill customer orders are obtained in a timely and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will ensure that products ordered are received accurately and manage vendor relationships and shipping to guarantee timely receipt of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management :

Place orders with vendors to procure products necessary to fulfill customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Shipping Coordination :

Liaise with vendors to coordinate shipping and ensure products arrive on schedule to meet customer needs.

Order Verification :

Upon arrival of orders, validate that products received match order specifications in quality and quantity.

Price Verification :

Regularly check and verify prices from vendors to ensure accuracy and negotiate cost-effective deals.

Vendor Management :

Establish, develop, and maintain positive vendor relationships, ensuring products are high quality and delivered on time.

Record-Keeping :

Maintain accurate and organized records.

Qualifications:

Experience :

Previous experience in a similar purchasing or procurement role is required.

Organizational Skills :

Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Communication Skills :

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and internal teams.

Technological Proficiency :

Familiarity with order management systems and proficient in using Quick Books Attention to

Detail :

Vigilant attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order placement, receipt checking, and billing.
