Type:
full-time Senior Buyer - Aerospace & Defense We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join a growing procurement team within the aerospace and defense sector . You will play a key role in developing strategic sourcing strategies, strengthening supplier relationships and maximizing quality, delivery and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sourcing and purchasing strategies. Manage and strengthen key supplier relationships. Negotiate pricing, terms, quality and lead times. Identify and minimize supply chain risks. Support supplier qualification and performance management. Ensure procurement activities meet aerospace and defense quality, compliance and regulatory requirements . Work closely with internal teams to ensure material availability and programme requirements are met. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain. Experience within aerospace, defense, aviation, manufacturing or another highly regulated industry . Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation and cost reduction . Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor or similar . Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, PivotTables and
VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
Familiarity with MRP/ERP purchasing, inventory management and production planning systems . Knowledge of aerospace/defense quality standards, compliance, supplier qualification and risk management . Strong analytical, commercial negotiation and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. U.S. aerospace/defense procurement experience and knowledge of government contracting requirements would be advantageous.
