If you're a buyer who thrives in fast‑moving frozen categories — fries, vegetables, fruit, baked goods, ice cream — this role puts you at the center of a high‑volume distribution network that feeds restaurants, healthcare, hospitality, and more. You'll shape purchasing strategy, manage supplier relationships, and ensure customers get the frozen products they rely on every day. Compensation & Benefits Up to $108K total compensation (salary and bonus) in year one Fortune 500-level benefits: Medical, dental, vision Excellent matching 401(k) Robust insurance + wellness programs Employee stock purchase plan Additional employee perks Real career progression across a national network Key Responsibilities Purchase frozen grocery items from national and regional suppliers Track market conditions, pricing trends, and commodity movement Negotiate pricing, freight, terms, and delivery schedules Maintain strong in‑stock levels while minimizing shrink and aging Evaluate suppliers, pack sizes, and product alternatives Build strong vendor relationships and resolve quality or delivery issues Support sales with product and pricing information Partner with operations on receiving, rotation, slotting, and handling Communicate market updates and supply disruptions Use ERP/procurement systems to manage orders, inventory, and pricing Analyze data and prepare reports on cost trends and category performance Qualifications High School Diploma/GED (Associate or Bachelor's preferred) 2+ years purchasing frozen groceries (fries, vegetables, fruit, baked goods, ice cream, etc.) Strong understanding of specs, supplier dynamics, and market behavior Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor‑management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office + ERP/procurement systems Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Why This Role Matters Frozen grocery is one of the most dynamic, high‑volume categories in foodservice — and you'll be the one steering it.
