About the Opportunity We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives while partnering closely with operations and business leaders. This role is ideal for a procurement professional looking to expand their expertise in supplier management, sourcing, contract negotiations, spend analysis, and category management within a dynamic operational environment. The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in driving supplier performance, supporting cost-saving initiatives, ensuring compliance, and helping deliver value across the organization. What You'll Do Support procurement activities and supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations. Partner with Operations, Category Managers, and business stakeholders to support procurement objectives and operational needs. Conduct vendor performance reviews and identify opportunities for supplier improvement and consolidation. Perform spend analysis, cost comparisons, and sourcing evaluations to identify savings opportunities. Lead supplier identification, qualification, and selection initiatives. Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements, including pricing, service levels, quality requirements, and product availability. Execute and manage formal RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for major projects and spend categories. Process purchase requests, obtain supplier quotes, evaluate proposals, and generate purchase orders. Manage supplier onboarding and prequalification processes while ensuring ongoing compliance requirements are met. Drive adoption of procurement systems, contract utilization, supplier consolidation, and purchasing compliance initiatives. Participate in site visits and regional meetings to support operational and procurement goals. Assist in delivering procurement and supply chain training to division leadership and operational teams. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred. 2-3 years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience. Understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and sourcing activities. Strong analytical skills with experience conducting spend reviews and cost analyses. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Preferred Experience Experience supporting manufacturing, aggregates, construction, industrial, or related environments. Exposure to supplier contracts, compliance requirements, and vendor negotiations. Experience with ERP systems and procurement platforms. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with PowerPoint, Outlook, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
