Job Description
Position Summary The Procurement/Pricing Technician provides administrative and analytical support to the procurement and pricing teams by maintaining vendor cost records, managing purchase orders, and ensuring pricing data is current and accurate. This role is Excel-intensive, requiring comfort with data manipulation, price auditing, and reporting in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Procurement Support
- Issue and monitor purchase orders to vendor partners; confirm delivery timelines and lead times.
- Maintain accurate purchase order logs and follow up on past due or unconfirmed orders.
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve discrepancies in shipments or deliveries.
- Record vendor confirmations and lead time communications in SharePoint.
- Support buyers with expediting, vendor communications, and documentation tracking. Pricing and Cost Maintenance
- Enter and update vendor cost files within the ERP system (Distribution One), ensuring alignment with vendor notifications.
- Upload and verify bulk cost changes using Excel templates; notify the Pricing Manager of any discrepancies.
- Annotate item records with effective dates, tariff applicability, and packaging or UOM changes.
- File all vendor price updates in SharePoint and provide copies to relevant stakeholders. Excel-Based Analysis and Reporting
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data comparison, cost analysis, and trend reporting.
- Develop and maintain price tracking sheets, cost audit logs, and vendor pricing history.
- Use formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF, INDEX/MATCH), pivot tables, and conditional formatting to ensure pricing integrity.
- Assist in compiling monthly pricing reports and vendor cost performance summaries.
- Generate purchase and pricing metrics to support team goals and sourcing decisions. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, pricing, or inventory coordination within a distribution or industrial setting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including:
VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH
- Pivot Tables and Charts
- Conditional Formatting
- Data validation, sorting/filtering, and basic macros
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Distribution One is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational accuracy, and attention to detail.

Pay:
$20.50- $26.
