Winston-Salem, North Carolina job type: Contract salary: $28.53 - 39.94 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Manage assigned procurement activities, create purchase orders, and conduct competitive supplier bids for Our Client's Engineering Development Lab.

Ensure personal monthly vendor on-time delivery targets are met while continually updating and maintaining the EDL SOW SharePoint Dashboard for Our Client.

Utilize the Ariba procurement system as needed and perform supplier risk assessments to secure optimal material sources for original design and redesign seat builds.

Participate in team and operational meetings to communicate material status, advise on risks and opportunities, and complete required training programs for Our Client.

Support leadership with continuous improvement, kaizen initiatives, and process improvement projects to optimize sourcing workflows for Our Client.
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline with 3 years of relevant purchasing experience, an Advanced degree, or 7 years of relevant purchasing experience in lieu of a degree. Solid, versatile thinker with a sense of urgency and a strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks to maximize lead time, costs, service, and quality in an intense environment. Preferred experience leading or supporting projects, kaizen events, and continuous improvement initiatives for Our Client.
