Youngsville, NC Job Summary Support implementation of commodity sourcing strategy/roadmap to identify and leverage commodity or raw material spend across assigned business unit locations. Support global sourcing strategies on assigned commodities to improve service, quality, and total cost of ownership. Identify risks and work closely with stakeholders to eliminate strategic risks. Key Responsibilities Coordinates strategic sourcing activities, ensuring that sourcing decisions align with organizational goals and meet operational needs. Analyzes somewhat complex supplier performance data to assess contract compliance, identify risks, and propose improvements to sourcing strategies. Applies knowledge of procurement processes to manage supplier relationships, ensuring effective and efficient sourcing of goods and services. Coordinates somewhat complex sourcing projects, working with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement goals, timelines, and budgets. Support new product development process by managing supplier selection, launch schedules and cost targets. Evaluates supplier proposals and pricing strategies, helping to ensure that sourcing decisions are based on cost efficiency, quality, and supplier reliability. Identifies opportunities to improve sourcing processes and optimize supplier performance through the implementation of best practices and innovative approaches. Communicates with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure expectations are clear, and potential issues are resolved promptly.
