Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to learn applications specific to school systems Strong written and oral communication skills Working knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and transportation
REPORTS TO
Assistant Superintendent for Business Operations
JOB GOAL
To assist the Assistant Superintendent for Business Operations and Director of Finance in various financial functions of the Central Office.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Process all receivables in the accounting system and make deposits in a timely basis. Follow up on pending receivables and update electronic files for tracking payments. Manage online ordering of custodial and educational supplies. Maintain fixed asset inventory spreadsheet and coordinate with departments to ensure assets are tagged and tracked. Maintain and update all appropriate computer records; maintain and update pertinent files of financial information. Coordinate with bus companies for regular education and special education transportation routing. Respond to bus inquiries and communicate information from bus referrals as appropriate. Monitor bus radio and research and resolve parent and driver issues. Maintain and respect confidentiality of student, parent, and staff information, as well as administrative information. Assist in processing accounts payable as needed. Demonstrates teamwork and ability to perform within multiple areas of the office. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Twelve month year; 8 hours/day, hourly rate to be determined by the Superintendent. Salary range $23 - $25 per hour.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job to be evaluated annually by the Assistant Superintendent for Business Operations.
