Key Qualifications:

High School Diploma required; Para Certification, Associate's Degree, or Praxis strongly preferred. Proven experience in providing 1:1 support, particularly with elementary students. Demonstrated ability to implement behavior management techniques and maintain a clear, structured, and authoritative presence. Experience fostering independence and setting consistent boundaries. Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and related service providers.

Core Responsibilities:

Work closely with a single student, implementing individualized supports as detailed in her education plan. Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assistance throughout the school day. Help maintain classroom structure and safety, ensuring the student remains engaged and prepared for learning. Use positive reinforcement, redirection, and clear communication to promote appropriate behaviors and independence. Report on progress, challenges, and successes to teachers and parents.
