We have an immediate need for a Purchasing Agent/Quality Inspector to join our growing team! We are a manufacturer of medical electronic instrumentation for domestic and international markets. Responsibilities 1-5 years + experience in purchasing, but willing to train the right candidate, experience with product inspection a plus Create purchase orders for raw materials, out-plant processes, and plant supplies. Negotiate best purchase price, quality, and delivery terms Identify new sources of materials. Evaluate inventory trends updating reorder points and lead times as needed. Maintain purchasing Item Masters/Cards in files and Electronic record system (Quickbooks) Participate in vendor selection and ongoing performance evaluation. Review incoming material reports for potential late deliveries inform appropriate departments of risks or changes to the supply chain. Coordinate with suppliers to expedite materials as needed. Work with production, engineering, quality and suppliers to resolve material quality issues. Serve as a backup for answering phone and office questions. Preferred Qualifications Proficient computer skills Experience with Quickbooks preferred, but willing to train Proficient Microsoft excel skills (building spreadsheets) a plus Works well as part of a team Working with a microscope is a plus Working knowledge of PCB layout and CAD tools.
