40.0 Responsibilities Manage procurement and inventory planning activities to support manufacturing and production schedules. Utilize MRP reports to identify procurement or internal production needs, generate quotes, and issue purchase or work orders. Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels. Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiations, and performance management to ensure quality and cost efficiency. Monitor material flow, reschedule inventory, and maintain accurate production and inventory reports. Support warehouse functions including picking, receiving, and replenishing stock. Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and coordinate returns and credits. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for procurement and inventory processes. Contribute to shipping and receiving operations as needed, including verifying and transferring goods in SAP. Support general duties such as supplier evaluation, BOM corrections, and inventory optimization. Requirements High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience. 3 to 8 years experience in purchasing, planning, and inventory control. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to read blueprints and understand manufacturing processes. Experience with MRP and ERP systems (SAP preferred). APICS or ISM certification preferred. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and/or 5S methodology preferred. Strong communication skills for external and internal collaboration. Ability to lift and manage boxes up to 30 lbs. and perform physical tasks in warehouse settings. Flexibility to work core business hours (10am - 3pm) with additional hours during peak times.
